Dosing equipment can be used for dosing additives for silage and for grain preservation. To be able to dose the correct amount of additives per ton and mix it correctly the help of dosing equipment is necessary. Dosing equipment consists of at least a timer, a set of weighing scales, a litre measure, a dosage table and a flow meter.

Purchasing and installing the right kind of dosing equipment can be a difficult and time-consuming endeavour. Because of our long experience in the feed additives business we have encountered a lot of customers who had difficulties with their dosing equipment. Therefore we can offer a service as an intermediate or advisor for helping you purchase and install the right dosing equipment for your applications.

The Perstorp Pump
For Silage applications we have designed and manufactured the Perstorp Pump. The Perstorp pump can be used for all silage additives available on the market, but also for propionic acid for the acid preservation of feed grain. The pump is available in two different sizes, of which the smaller, referred to as standard, has a capacity up to 7 litres/min, while the larger pump has a capacity of up to 10 litres/minute. Both pumps are mounted in an acid-proof steel casing for secure protection. The flow quantity is easily regulated from the tractor cab using an electronic control unit, which warns both when the pump is running idle and when it has stopped by means of sound and light signals.

Flexibility and safety
The design of the pumps and their accessories means that they are suitable both for different types of machine, such as precision choppers and round balers and for acid application for the acid preservation of feed grain. The pumps also fit various types of packaging, such as drums, barrels and container (1,000-litre). The nozzles provide an even spread and have built-in pressure valves to prevent drips and spillages when closing.
