Silage
Start by estimating the amount of green fodder in the trailer (e.g. 5 tonnes) or the round bale (e.g. 600 kg). Then estimate the effective time to collect the green fodder in the trailer (e.g. 10 min.) or the round bale (e.g. 2 min.). Note the number of litres of ensiling product per ton of green fodder shown in the dosing table below. We recommend 4-5 litres of Promyr® or formic acid for clover grass. To adjust the flow rate (litres/minute), use the calculation example below:
Formula:
Weight x litres per ton = l/min (flow)
Time in minutes
Example:
5 tons x 4 litres = flow, 2 l/min
10 min

Grain preservation
Use the above calculation example for silage, but replace the dosing table with "Propionic Acid for cereal grain".
This flow meter has two separate flow ranges (0.5-2.0 and 2.0-8.0 l/min), as well as replaceable scales for different additives.
